2007 New Zealand Brass Band Championships
Retrospective: C Grade
In the absence of last years C Grade winner, Tauranga City Silver, there was interest to see who would become the new C Grade Champions. Although the scores were close, Eastern Bay of Plenty Brass were winners in all three sections.
2007 C Grade Champions - Eastern Bay of Plenty Brass
Eastern Bay of Plenty Brass conducted by Alan Spence won the Sacred Item, Test and Own Choice which gave them a 4 point lead over second place-getter, Auckland City Brass and its MD Andrew Leech.

There was a decent gap to the rest of the field who were closely bunched - Levin & Districts Brass (Robert Lynch), Te Awamutu Brass (Malcolm Gapes), and Smiths Locksmiths Manukau City Brass.
 Te Awamutu Brass
Maybe, Te Awamutu Brass were a little hard done by, in our humble opinion - but then again - what would we know.
 Levin & Districts Brass
Perhaps the choice of St Michael's Mount as the Own Choice for Smiths Locksmiths Manukau City Brass (Graeme Browne) did little to help the bands cause.
