Bournemouth Concert Brass headed the prize list at the recent Wessex BBA Contest in Weymouth to round off their season in style.

Bournemouth Concert Brass rounded off their year with a win at the recent Wessex Brass Band Association at Weymouth Pavilion on 27th November.

Conducted by David Hayward and performing Gilbert Vinter’s ‘Spectrum’ they took the honours by two clear points from Yeovil Town in second place with Ocean Brass in third. David Hayward took the conductors trophy, with the band’s percussion taking the James Winter Trophy, the bass section taking the Arthur Spencer Trophy and Steve Didcott receiving the Kevin Boulton Plaque as Best Instrumentalist.
