Windcorp celebrate

The newly formed Windcorp Brass Band are celebrating their amazing debut at the Swedish Nationals.

The Swedish Brass Band Championships 2005 was a great success for
Windcorp Brass Band.

Although the band had only six rehearsals and one concert since the start earlier this year, the adjudicators awarded the band a 2nd
place which must be seen as an astonishing achievement.

Conductor Alexander Hanson was very pleased with the band's performance, saying that "we gave a performance of great musicality". The contest programme was "Masque" (Hesketh), "Hymn for Diana" (Turrin), "Royal Parks" (Lloyd) and "Quintessence" (Redhead).

Windcorp Brass Band would like to congratulate the winning band,
Göteborg Brass Band, and wish them good luck at the forthcoming European Championships in Belfast next year.
