There are still a few places up for grabs on Brett Baker's Trombone Focus Day this weekend.

There are still some spaces available for the Trombone Focus day this Sunday, 19th May featuring the Junior, Youth and Senior Quartets of the Black Dyke Band.

New commission

The day is part of the Black Dyke Festival and takes place at Leeds Town Hall, The Headrow, Leeds, LS1 3AD and will feature a brand new commission written for the event.

Schedule:

9.00am: Arrive and registration

9.30am: Warm up and Massed blow everyone on Mr Sandman and new commission

10.30am: Break

10.45am: Workshop withh Black Dyke Trombone Section featuring Junior and Youth quartets

11.15am: Q&A chaired by Brett Baker and senior quartet

11.30am: Performance by Black Dyke Youth Quartet and Junior quartets

11.45am: Final run through massed pieces.

12.05pm: Mass Band rehearsal including trombones:

3.00pm: Concert

Tintwistle Band

June 9 • Tintwistle Band are looking for a 2nd horn player to help complete the team. . We rehearse Monday and Thursday 8-10pm under the baton of our MD Jim Henson, at our own bandroom on Old Road in Tintwistle, and perform a variety of concerts all year round.
