4BR New Year's Eve Quiz: The Winner!

Our final little brain teaser of 2013 didn’t catch too many of you out.

Our last quiz question of the year wasn’t as hard as it first looked then, as plenty of people found out our tenuous connection fairly easily.

Answer:

The answer to the identity of which brass band can be found by a tenuous link between a recently discovered 17th century baroque painting bought by a clergyman for £400 but now worth over £400,000, a hymn tune to safeguard those in danger on the high seas and a dancing chimney sweep with a dodgy cockney accent was of course.... Black Dyke.

Mr Anthony Van Dyck was the painter of the underpriced clergyman’s discovery, whilst John Bacchus Dykes wrote the hymn that helps all those in peril on the sea.

The wonderful Dick Van Dyke was of course the chimney sweep with the most abominable cockney accent in history.

Winner:

Mr Ian Earle of Wycombe, who confessed to being a bit of a Dick Van Dyke fan opted for Manger’s release to go with his 4BR pocket diary!

Thanks to everyone who entered. Keep your eyes peeled for the next brain tickler...
