Hatfield release disqualification statement

The Hatfield Band has released an official statement over its disqualification from the recent Yorkshire Regional Championship.

Following the news that the Hatfield Band has been disqualified from the First Section contest at the recent Yorkshire Regional Championship in Bradford, the organisation has issued a statement in respect to the decision.

Statement:

It reads:

“Further to the press release by the Yorkshire Regional Committee regarding the disqualification of Hatfield Band from the First Section Contest of the Yorkshire Region of the National Brass Band Championships, held on Sunday 7th March 2015.

Hatfield Band wish to initially indicate and communicate its deep remorse in respect of the Band’s alleged contravention of Rule 9A of the Rules of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain which has brought about the aforementioned circumstances.

At this time, the Management Committee of Hatfield Band, the Musical Director and the Players thereof, will pass no further comment on the matter.”
