White is wright for Portishead

The White Brothers hope to emulate the Wright Brothers with Portishead Town at Torquay.

Just like the Wright brothers have been credited for the world’s first powered flight, Portishead Town will be hoping that the combination of brother’s Andrew and Kevin White will provide the necessary lift to get their WoE Areas challenge off the ground.

New appointment

Newly appointed resident conductor Kevin will prepare the band in support of brother Andrew who will lead the band on stage at Torquay.

The band has grown significantly since the Autumn and band manager Dan Jones hopes the experience and talents of the White brothers can push the band on further.

Positive effect

"Kevin has provided the continuity, drive and fresh ideas the band needed and which is having a really positive effect," Dan told 4BR.

"The recent performance at the Yeovil Entertainment Contest is testament to that, and being able to tap into the talents of his brother Andrew as well is excellent. The band is now back to full strength and is already showing much potential."
