The International Band of the Salvation Army (ISB) is the latest endorsee of Centre Stage's percussion range, after its renowned team of experienced players put the instruments through their paces.

ISB Band Manager Kevin Coates told 4BR: "We are delighted to be involved in this new partnership. Centre Stage's commitment to high-quality manufacture and after-sales service is extremely important to a busy band like the ISB, and our highly-skilled percussion team is looking forward to many years of performing on outstanding equipment."

Growing list

The International Staff Band joins a growing list of world class ensembles using Centre Stage percussion, with the likes of newly crowned Yorkshire Area champion, Black Dyke, BBC Philharmonic and Royal Ballet Symphonia and the highly-acclaimed percussion quartet '4-mality', now endorsing the company's products.

Centre Stage's percussion range incorporates all main percussion areas — from timpani, xylophones and marimbas to drum kits, cymbals and a range of over 100 options of sticks and mallets.

Centre Stage has also registered its first company overseas with the launch of a base in Neuchâtel near Bern. Centre Stage Switzerland is now supplying the buoyant musical market there with both percussion and uniforms.

Making a mark

MD Martin Gernon told 4BR: "At the launch of Centre Stage Percussion, I remember being asked how we would make our mark in a very crowded market. My answer was that it would take time and dedication, but quality would be the key.

That has been the case — from manufacturing to customer service. Now I believe we are the market leaders — as our customer feedback tells us."

He added: "Being able to offer our service to the burgeoning Swiss market also brings a new dimension to the Centre Stage brand, and we are look forward to some very exciting times ahead."

We are delighted to be involved in this new partnership. Centre Stage's commitment to high-quality manufacture and after-sales service is extremely important to a busy band like the ISBISB Band Manager Kevin Coates
