World Rankings — August update

The latest update of the Band Supplies — 4barsrest.com World Rankings see minimal changes near the top as we approach the autumn contest season.

Wellington Brass
  Wellington Brass celebrating victory at this year's New Zealand Championships.

Wellington Brass' success at the New Zealand National Championships sees it re-enter the top 50 prior to its forthcoming British Open appearance, while the other leading bands from NZ all move up accordingly.

The other ranking contests taking place since the last update were:

South of Ireland Championships — won by Lourdes Brass Band;
Ohio Brass Arts Festival — won by Central Ohio;
Denby Pottery Village Contest — won by Kibworth;
Durham County BBA — won by Durham Miners Association;
Shirebrook Entertainment Contest — won by Enderby;
National Eisteddfod of Wales — won by Tredegar.

The next update will follow the National Championships for sections 1-4 and will include the British Open, at which Yorkshire's finest in positions 2-4 will all be challenging Cory for its place at the top of the table.

Kippax Band

April 26 • Kippax Band. Require a Musical Director. Due to the work and family commitments of our current MD, Kippax Band are looking for a new Musical Director to take us forward.. We rehearse Monday and Thursday at our own bandroom in Kippax 8.00-10.00pm.


The Corsham Band

April 26 • Due to work commitments, a vacancy has arisen for a Tenor Trombone player. First or Second position available. We are a newly promoted Second Section band with a friendly and enthusiastic team.
