The Nationals Challenge results

Competition results now available.

It takes a little time to search through 380 entries to see how you all got on — sorry for the delay. Below you will see a break down.

For those of you who missed the competition, the challenge was to correctly choose the prize winning bands in the order they came at this year's National Championships.

0 correct: 46% (175)
1 correct: 35% (133)
2 correct: 12% (46)
3 correct: 5% (19)
4 correct: 1.4% (5)
5 correct: 0.3% (1)
6 correct: 0.3% (1)

That means there was an out right winner: (see below)

The person with 5 correct bands chose ( and the tie breaker 7th):

1. Black Dyke
2. Fodens
3. YBS
4. Williams Fairey
5. BAYV Cory
6. CWS Glasgow and;
7. Tredegar

We felt that this deserved a CD and they were so close to winning themselves. Will have emailed the person and await their reply.

The winning entry chose all (top 6) bands correctly. His seventh placed band was Whitburn (who came 8th) which was so close also. The winner, Mr. C. W. James has chosen the following CDs

1. Regionals 2002 — Doyen DOYCD128
2. Butterworth — Doyen DOYCD 130
3. Essential Dyke Vol III — DOYCD121
