SP&S announce Xmas Best Sellers

SP&S Ltd have announced their top 10 best selling CD’s for both December and for 2002.

It makes interetsing reading, and shuld give you an idea of what is “hot” and what “is not” when it comes to brass band CD’s!

December Chart:

1. Jubilee Brass — ISB, Black Dyke & Don Lusher Big Band
2. THe Heaton Collection — ISB, Black Dyke
3. Grimethorpe in Concert — Grimethorpe (UK Coal) Band
4. At the Edge of Time — ISB, ISS
5. Celebration — Croydon Citadel Band
6. Seasons Greetings — Household Troops Band
7. Bridgewater Hall Live 2002 — Black Dyke, Williams Fairey, Fodens, HTB
8. Overtures — Fodens
9. Versatile Virtuoso — Ian Bousfield
10. Call of the Cossacks — Black Dyke Band

Some real surprises here, and perhaps a stronger than usual element of SA recordings. The real highlights though are the new entries of Jubilee Brass (watch out for the video of the same concert in the New Year) and Grimethorpe in Concert, taking advantage of 'advanced sales' having only been on sale for a week! Other surprises include the popular Croydon Citadel band coming back into the top 10 after a month out, and a real surprise package in Ian Bousfield, back in stock after a re-press and some suppressed demand!!

1. The Heaton Collection — Black Dyke, ISB
2. Call of the Cossacks — Black Dyke
3. The Sound of Britain — Household Troops Band
4. At the Edge of Time — ISB, ISS
5. Highlights of Euro 2002 — Various Bands
6. Celebration — Croydon Citadel Band
7. The Regionals 2003 — Various Bands
8. More Hymns for Everyone — Bristol Easton Band
