Fodens go Xmas Shopping

Fodens have been busy letter writing to Santa and have had their wishes granted with a few new arrivals down the Sandbach chimney!

The Press Release from the band reads as follows:

Foden Richardson band is pleased to announce a number of new signings.

Following the departure of Martin Armstrong who moved back to the northeast in October due to work commitments, Fodens have welcomed Leah Williams to the solo horn seat. Leah has been solo horn with Sellars International since the start of 1999 where she has established herself as one of the country’s leading horn players.

Paul McDonald has joined the solo cornet bench from Ransomes where he was playing principal cornet, he brings a wealth of experience to the band having previously been a member of Faireys, Grimethorpe and Desford. Following the departure of Nicky Lees Fodens final signing has been Sion Thomas a pupil of Russell Grays at the RNCM who is joining the band on back row.

Speaking about the new signings Mark Wilkinson stated ' 2002 has been an excellent year for the band with a number of contest victories and the signing of a major sponsorship deal. Our latest signings will further
strengthen the band and maintain our position as one of the leading bands in the country'
