Admin change at Nat Oz Band

The tour administrator for the Australian National Band has resigned his post due to work commitments.

Robert Bedwell, Vice-President of the National Band Council of Australia, has resigned his position as Tour Administrator for the Australian National Brass 2005 tour to Kerkrade for the World Championships in July of next year due to a change in work commitments.

Meg Fixter, currently the secretary of Brisbane Excelsior, has agreed to take on the position and is looking forward to commencing work on the project shortly. Meg has had many years experience in administrative roles within the brass band scene, most notably as Queensland Band Association Secretary and in the organisation and implementation of several successful Queensland Youth Band camps and tours. Meg will be working closely with Melbourne based Wendy Bardsley as the Assistant Tour Manager.

The first rehearsal for Australian National Brass 2005 and its Musical Director, Mark Ford, is scheduled to take place in Melbourne on the weekend of 22/23 January, 2005.
