The Band of West Mercia Constabulary have finished the year with a major performance at Worcester Cathedral and a performance at the West Mercia Constabulary Carol Concert at the Headquarters in Worcester playing to capacity audiences.

The band now up to full strength and enjoying full rehearsals have overcome problems encountered mid year and are working hard with Steve Pritchard-Jones at the helm. In the future a workshop is planned with leading brass band personalities, a CD recording and a summer tour is planned. To enhance the community liaison two concerts have been arranged one in Kidderminster and one in Shrewsbury involving the band and 500 local school children. The constabulary have also booked Symphony Hall for a major charity concert next year. The band are keen to work with other bands in the West Mercia area, any band interested in a joint concert or attending one of the planned workshops please contact the band secretary David Francis 01495303120.

With the full support of the Constabulary the future is bright for the band and everyone is looking forward to working hard in 2005.
