Butlins announce details

The Butlins Mineworkers Championship has announced further deatils for both 2005 and 2006.

Butlins Skyline Resort Skegness is pleased to announce that the Butlins Mineworkers Open National Brass Band Festival 2006 will take place at the Skegness resort over the weekend of January 20 –23 2006 and that the North East Midlands Brass Band Association (NEMBBA) will continue to administer the event.

Following discussions with NEMBBA and contest advisor Stan Lippeatt it has been agreed that all bands attending the 2005 Festival (January 21—24) will receive the first invitations to the 2006 Festival. Butlins are also pleased to announce that competitors and guests will be able to book accommodation at the resort Holiday Booking Shop for the 2006 contest while on resort during the 2005 event at specially discounted prices.

Butlins have been thrilled with the entry and response to the 2005 Festival. All accommodation is selling very well and so as not to be disappointed, competing bands are advised not to leave it too late to make their booking.

For booking information please visit our website www.butlins.com or follow the links from this site. Alternatively please call our bookings centre on 0870 242 0870.
