Lawrence Family Appeal

A press release from Brisbane Brass:

Brisbane Brass

To the Brass Band Fratenity and friends of the Lawrence Family,

We have had the extremely sad duty of advising all our members and friends of the accidental deaths of two of our much loved and valued band members.

Whilst travelling to Sydney on Tuesday 27th December 2005 to attend the funeral of Steve Lawrence’s mother, their vehicle was involved in an accident which claimed the lives of our dear friends Sharon Lawrence and Hayden Lawrence. Shannan and Melanie were airlifted to Tamworth Hospital and Shannan was later transferred to the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. She is in a critical, but stable condition. Melanie has since been released from hospital and with husband Adrian is joining Steve at the bedside of Shannan in Sydney.

Our deepest heartfelt sympathy and prayers go to Steve, Melanie & Adrian and Shannan and their families at this traumatic and difficult time.

We will advise in due course, as further details come to hand.

Anyone wishing to make a donation to the Lawrence Family to help assist with flights, medical expenses, funeral expenses & general expenses can do so via our Brisbane Brass Account. These donations will be forwarded on to Steve in due course.
