New sponsorship for Europeans

The European Championships are set for a financial boost as well as the return of an iconic trophy.

It has been reported in British Bandsman newspaper this week that the European Brass Band Association (EBBA) has signed new sponsorship contracts with Buffet Crampon SAS and as a result have had returned the rights to the title for the Championships.

In addition the iconic trophy designed by Christopher Milton Stevens and first awarded to the Champion Band in 1981 has also been returned and will be presented once more to the new champions in Birmingham next year.

4BR understands that there may be some potential doubt over the nomination for the second Belgian representative after concerns over possible registration anomalies were aired following their recent National Championships4BR

Skelmanthorpe Prospect Brass

May 24 • FRONT ROW & BACK ROW CORNET REQUIRED. Under MD Phil Garlick, Prospect Brass require front & back row cornet to join our team. We are a 1st Section band based between Huddersfield and Wakefield, rehearsing Mon/Fri 7-9 in our purpose built bandroom.


Lofthouse Brass Band

May 24 • Lofthouse Brass Band require a DRUMMER to complete their line up. We are a friendly 3rd section band who rehearse on Thursday evenings 7.30pm - 9pm and Saturday mornings 10am - 12noon at Outwood WMC.
