EBBA signs up sponsors

Major contracts secure financial future for EBBA.

EBBA

The Executive Committee of the European Brass Band Association (EBBA) has announced that it has successfully concluded negotiations over two major contracts of co-operation and support.

Agreements

It has signed a contract with World of Brass (part of the SP&S group), as a principal partner of EBBA with, a tenure of three years from 2008 to 2010. World of Brass has acquired all filming and recording rights of the prestigious European Brass Band Championships (EBBC) and its side events.

At the same time, EBBA signed an agreement with Buffet Crampon S.A.S. in its capacity as the owner of the famous Besson brand as a main sponsor of EBBA, also for a period of three years.

Besson will provide substantial support to EBBA, the EBBC and its side events, including the European Youth Brass Band and will provide first prizes in form of prestigious instruments for the Championship Section and for the B Section contest.

We are very pleased to have renewed the two important contracts with two high quality brands on a higher financial level. We are looking forward to close co-operation with our new principal partner and our new main sponsor to this important eventEBBA

High quality brands

Speaking to the British Bandsman recently, Ulf Rosenberg, President of EBBA, commented: "We are very pleased to have renewed the two important contracts with two high quality brands on a higher financial level. We are looking forward to close co-operation with our new principal partner and our new main sponsor to this important event."

Healthy relationship

On behalf of World of Brass, Managing Director, Trevor Caffull said: "World of Brass is delighted to be extending our existing arrangement with EBBA. World of Brass took brass banding into a new arena with the production of groundbreaking DVDs, complementing the traditional CD highlights of the EBBC event produced in conjunction with Doyen Recordings, and is delighted to extend an already healthy relationship with EBBA, under the direction of its new President, Ulf Rosenberg.

The EBBC is now widely regarded as the finest brass band competition in the world, and we are proud to be regarded as the event's Principal Partner."

Increase support

The President of the Buffet Crampon, Antoine Beaussant, added: "We are particularly happy to conclude this agreement with EBBA. The legendary Besson brand has always been at the heart of brass bands and, with this partnership, we want to increase our support for the development of the brass band movement in Europe.

We thank EBBA for its trust and we strive to make this a strong collaboration in 2008."
