New faces at Fodens

English National Champions announce new faces for 2007.

Fodens Richardson

 

Fodens Richardson Band has announced a number of new signings ahead of the current contest season.

Andrew Lofthouse joins on solo cornet following the departure of Paul Mcdonald who has recently started his own internet business. Andrew is currently at the RNCM and joins from Marsden where he was the bands soprano player. Cai Isfryn joins on second cornet from Beaumaris where he was the bands assistant principal cornet.

Welcome return

Fodens are extremely pleased to announce these new siginings. Both Andrew and Cai are excellent players who show an enormous amount of potential and have a proven track record with their previous bandsMark Wilkinson

Cai is also a pupil at the RNCM where he studies with Roger Webster. Finally Toby Hobson makes a welcome return to the band on BBb bass. Toby was a member of the band for 12 years on EEb bass before leaving in 2005 due to work committments.

Speaking about the new signings, Mark Wilkinson told 4BR: "Fodens are extremely pleased to announce these new siginings. Both Andrew and Cai are excellent players who show an enormous amount of potential and have a proven track record with their previous bands. We are extremely pleased to welcome back Toby who brings a wealth of experience to the band."

April 26 • The Hepworth Band has a vacancy for solo horn. We rehearse Tuesdays and Thursdays 8pm and are based in Hepworth, near Holmfirth, Huddersfield


Kippax Band

April 26 • Kippax Band. Require a Musical Director. Due to the work and family commitments of our current MD, Kippax Band are looking for a new Musical Director to take us forward.. We rehearse Monday and Thursday at our own bandroom in Kippax 8.00-10.00pm.
