Danford set for dance collaborations

Percussionist Dave Danford has announced collaborations with two of dance music's most prolific figures.

Dave Danford

Dave Danford is set to team up with a duo of top dance music exponents in the coming months.

The first project is an artist album from Judge Jules who has been part of the regular DJ line-up on BBC Radio 1 since 1997. The album, Proven Worldwide, is due for release on US label KOCH in May 2006. Dave has provided live percussion for many of the album's tracks.

The second of these collaborations is with Darren Tate, an international record producer who has previously had huge hits under the names Angelic, Orion and Jurgen Vries.

One album track, Narama, which features extensive live percussion from Dave has already received substantial airplay on BBC Radio 14BR

As part of DT8 Project, Dave is working with Darren on a major album release which promises to be one of the most inspired and original electronica albums of 2006. The album will include the massive DT8 Project tracks 'The Sun Is Shining (Down On Me)' and 'Winter', both successful chart hits in 2004, and feature exclusive performances by various major international artists. One album track, Narama, which features extensive live percussion from Dave has already received substantial airplay on BBC Radio 1.
