Grimethorpe celebrate their British Open win

The latest World of Brass — 4barsrest.com Rankings see some significant changes following the British Open Championships and Section 1-4 National Finals.

Grimethorpe Colliery enters the top 3 for the first time in six years with its win in Birmingham, while Goodwick Brass moves into the top 50 after its win at Cheltenham, one of three Welsh successes that weekend.

The other contests held since the last update were:

Bugle Contest (omitted by error in last update) — won by Camborne Town;
Exmouth Festival of Brass — won by Pendennis Brass Falmouth;

The next update will follow the National Final, at which Black Dyke and Grimethorpe Colliery will have the end-of-year number one spot in their sights, with Cory looking to secure a remarkable ninth successive year on top of the world following a very consistent 2015 so far.
