Judges announced for Brass Showcase event

Four entertaining Scottish bands will have their efforts scrutinised by some fearless judges — and an audience — at Johnstone Town Hall later this month.

The forthcoming Brass Showcase 2018 event has announced its line-up of adjudicators.

It takes place on Sunday 26th August at Johnstone Town Hall with four bands taking part.

Four bands

Johnstone, Coalburn Silver, Dunaskin Doon and Newmilns & Galston will showcase their entertainment concert programmes which will be judged by Anne Crookston (technical performance), Scott Kerr (entertainment and presentation) and Charlie Farren (musical contribution).

The draw has already been made thanks to Prof Nicholas Childs and four star tutors on the recent International Brass Band Summer School course in Swansea4BR

The draw has already been made thanks to Prof Nicholas Childs and four star tutors on the recent International Brass Band Summer School course in Swansea, and that innovative, fun approach will extend to the contest itself with the audience also having a vote to pick their favourite band.
