Siddis entertainment to be beamed worldwide

The performances from this year's SIDDIS Entertainment contest are to be beamed across the banding globe from the Stavanger Konserthaus.

The leading Norwegian Entertainment Championship, SIDDIS Brass, has announced that its 2018 event will be broadcast live around the banding world thanks to a partnership link with BrassPass.tv.

The event takes place at Stavanger's impressive Konserthaus on 3rd November when 55 bands will take to the stage in three different halls.

It is understood that it will enable to organisers to showcase with multiple cameras, the performances of all the bands in each section. Presentation will be in both Norwegian and English.

Delighted

Steffen Rogne, on behalf of the SIDDIS committee told 4BR: "We are delighted with this new link with BrassPass.tv, and as part of our new arrangement, archive SIDDIS performances from previous competitions will also be available on the platform."

He added: "Second year students on the television and multimedia production course at Stavanger University will manage the camera operations, with BrassPass production managers overseeing and contributing to the production value. It promises to be a fantastic event."

Littleport Brass Band

March 19 • Littleport Brass are a second section band near Ely in Cambridgeshire rehearsing every Wednesday evening. We are looking for a soprano comet, Bb cornet and tuned percussionist. We are a friendly, active band working with our dynamic MD Ian Knapton.


Hathern Band

March 19 • Bass or Solo Trombone player required. We are 1st Section from January 2020 and are 10 mins from Junction 24 of the M1


Besses o' th' Barn Band

March 19 • Besses o th Barn Band have a vacancy for a cornet player, with the principal position available for a suitable candidate.. . We are also looking for a BBb Bass to complete our bass section. .
