The Corsham Band has appointed John Heritage as their new Musical Director

  John Heritage has been appointed the new MD at Corsham Band

The Corsham Band has appointed John Heritage Mmus GGSM LTCL as their new Musical Director.

John studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama before becoming a freelance trumpet player playing in West End shows as well as the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.

He has been Head of Brass and Instrumental Studies at Pangbourne College and Director of Music at a number of schools.

Vast experience

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "John has vast musical experience playing in both brass bands and orchestras. Throughout his career he has played a range of instruments including principal trumpet and principal percussion, horn, flugel and cornet.

We extend a massive welcome to John and are looking forward to working under his direction."
