Change at the top at Adjudicator's Association

There have been changes to the executive line-up at the Association of Brass Band Adjudicators.

  There have been changes in the line-up of judges in their own Association

There have been changes in the executive team at the Association of Brass Band Adjudicators.
It follows the organisation's recent annual general meeting, and will see Nicholas Garman take over the secretarial role whilst David Hirst will cover PR and media.

Sarah Groarke-Booth and John Roberts have retired from their respective positions, with Stan Lippeatt and Alan Morrison taking their place alongside newly elected Sheona White.

Encourage

AoBBA Chairman Mark Wilkinson told 4BR: "We're delighted that Sheona has been elected to the committee and look forward to her valuable input. AoBBA would like to encourage many more female members to consider joining us."

In response Sheona said: "I'm looking forward to working with the team and contributing to the development of the Association."

A vote of thanks on his long service and a presentation was given to Colin Hardy on his retirement by Honorary President David Read MBE.

Frome Town Band

April 25 • Frome Town Band seeks a new Musical Director. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled musician with experience of running ensembles and events, who has an enthusiasm for and a vision towards developing the organisation as a community resource.


Sherborne Town Band

April 24 • Exciting opertunity for a principal cornet player to lead our friendly band. We also would be excited to hear from percussionists with experience in tuned percussion and kit. We are currently in the Championship section and have a busy schedule in 2024.


CLEETHORPES BAND CIO

April 24 • We have lots of cornets and horns but a little thin in the bottom end. Our players are happy to move around to help new players join the band, if you play baritone, euph or bass please give us a try. We rehearse every Sunday and Thursday at 7.30pm
