Students are coming from Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, with 11 students flying in from Townsville and Cairns — by far the largest contingent from outside Brisbane.

As it is an environmental camp we have organised quite a few other activities, apart from musical ones, like canoeing, ropes course, flying fox and rock climbing.Annette Ries

International conductor and cornet soloist, Russell Gray heads the team of tutors for the week long, live-in camp being held at the Ewan Maddock Dam on the Sunshine Coast. The camp will culminate in a free concert in the Ithaca Auditorium, Brisbane City Hall, Saturday 13 January at 2pm.

Annette Ries, one of the camp organisers, reported to 4BRDU: "As it is an environmental camp we have organised quite a few other activities, apart from musical ones, like canoeing, ropes course, flying fox and rock climbing."
