1st: '3,000 plus the British Open Challenge Trophy.
2nd: '2,000 plus the Frank Parker Memorial Cup.
3rd: '1,000 plus the Harry Mortimer Trophy.
4th: '500 plus the Edrich Siebert Memorial Trophy.
5th: '400
6th: '300

The prize money was donated by Yorkshire Bank.

The Iles Medal was awarded to James Shepperd.

The winning conductor, Garry Cutt was awarded the Mortimer Maestro Trophy.

Rigid Container Group, Point of Ayr Colliery and CWS Glasgow were relegated.

Desford Colliery did not enter the 1990 contest.
