The winning band was also presented with a Decca LP recording offer.
The winning conductor was awarded a presentation score of the test piece.

The Spotlight on Service was given to George Thompson.
The Insignia of Honour was awarded to Bert Sullivan.

March 5 • Marple Band are looking to fill the following vacancies. Cornet( back row), Bb Bass and Kit percussionist vacancies to join our fabulous band. We are a friendly ambitious 2nd Section band.


Chelmsford Silver Bnad

March 5 • Front row cornet and horn players. We are a very friendly, active, non competition band established 75 years performing regularly in Chelmsford & Essex. Rehearsals averaging 25 players on Wednesday evening at Broomfield Methodist church Chelmsford CM1 7AG
