More information...

Originally from Haverfordwest, I am now living and working in Carmarthen having spent 10 wonderful years in Essex.

2022 had been a very exciting year so far. After 17 years as a teacher, culminating as a Head of Sixth Form, I took the plunge and left full time education to focus on composing, conducting and performing

I have had a long connection with brass banding, having been lucky enough to perform with, Pembroke Silver Band, Rhyadyr, Burry Port, Clacton, Essex Police & Crwbin Silver. In addition it has been my privilege to conduct both Severn Tunnel & Crwbin.

Highlight of my time in banding include making it to the national finals in the RAH with Burry Port, winning the 4th Section in my first year with Severn Tunnel and helping Crwbin reach the 2022 National finals for only the second time in their history.

Recently, I have been appointed Musical Director of the National Police Memorial Service and the South Wales Police Band.

As a composer I am currently have works published by Larch Music, Devilish Publications and Bookwright who between them have published a large number of my works for both brass band and symphonic wind band.

Recent commissions include;

Fanfares for His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales

A full Cantata celebrating the County Town of Haverfordwest, commissioned by Pembrokeshire County Council

A concert solo work for Kidlington Concert Brass
