Darron Cleary-McHarg is a composer, percussion specialist and music educator, recently dividing his professional work between Carmarthenshire and Leicestershire. He is currently Composer-in-Residence at Ratby Co-operative Brass Band and Leicester Grammar School, where he teaches percussion, music theory and composition, alongside writing for orchestras, chamber ensembles and choir.
Formerly percussionist with Nassington Brass Band, his performing career has included appearances at the Royal Albert Hall, international touring aboard the RMS Queen Elizabeth 2 and work with the Memphis Belle Big Band tribute to Glenn Miller. His compositions and arrangements are regularly performed by brass bands, choirs and orchestras across the UK.
