2nd: £2,000 plus the Frank Parker Memorial Cup.
3rd: £1,500 plus the Harry Mortimer Trophy.
4th: £1,000 plus the Edrich Siebert Memorial Trophy.
5th: £500 plus the John Gladney Trophy.
6th: £400 plus the William Rimmer Trophy.

The Iles Medal was awarded to Stan Kitchen.

The Mortimer Medal was awarded to Mark Bousie.

The winning conductor, Allan Withington was awarded the Mortimer Maestro Trophy.

The Best Soloist, Stuart Lingard, Principal Cornet, Brighouse & Rastrick, won the Stanley Wainwright Memorial Trophy plus £100.
Brian Evans Memorial Trophy: Steve Stewart, Cory plus £100.
The Geoffrey Whitham Memorial Trophy for Best Euphonium: Glyn Williams, Foden's plus £100.

Ellenbrook and Boothstown Brass Band

September 19 • Conductor Required. A small, non-contest S Mancs. band restarting after the recent long break looking for a conductor to replace ours who no longer has time. Also vacancies for a drummer and Bb Bass. Any other players also welcome. Rehearse Mon & Weds.


Bollington Brass Band

September 16 • Looking for a new challenge? We are currently recruiting a Solo Cornet, E Flat Bass, Tuned and or Kit Percussionist. Friendly 1st section North West. Sensible contest and concert program throughout the year. Currently rehearsing Thursdays 8-10pm.


Chinnor Silver

September 15 • We are looking to strengthen the band and require PERCUSSION CORNET AND 2ND TROMBONE PLAYERS.. Rehearsals are on a wednesday in our own bandroom.. Good atmosphere in this ambitious friendly band so give us a call.. Concerts and contests planned
