The Heyl Band recently took top honours at the famous Bugle Contest in the West of England.

The Heyl Band recently took part in the famous Bugle Festival in Cornwall and came away with two first prizes.

Title wins

The band won the Second Section title, £250 and the Shipwright Cup, whilst Steve Andrew won the best player award, presented by adjudicator Steven Mead.

The band are at present the Exmouth Festival Champions 2008 and now West of England Bugle Festival champions 2009, to add to the great result they enjoyed at the Area contest where they came fourth.
