Larger than life

A larger than life character and committed bandsman, Martin had been a member of various bands particularly in Gwent. Having served Blaenavon Town Band faithfully and with enormous pride since 1997, he shared in all its recent successes.

A Newbridge boy through and through, he made his home within the community of Blaenavon where he had many close and extremely supportive friends. Someone who would never pass you by, he will be sorely missed.

Funeral

Martin's Funeral service was held on Thursday 2nd July at St Pauls Church, Newbridge, where the band played the music including a number of pieces he had specifically requested.

Both St Pauls Church and the Gwent Crematorium, Cwmbran were attended by many friends from both the banding world and colleagues at Stagecoach where he was a well liked and respected bus driver.
