Lydbrook Primary School is celebrating its centenary on Saturday, 12th September and, of course, being a community band, Lydbrook Band will be involved.

Partnership

For many years now Lydbrook Band has enjoyed a partnership with the primary school for teaching young children to play brass instruments.

Free of charge

The band supplies the instruments free of charge and sponsors the peripatetic teacher who visits once a week. The young players are then encouraged to join the Lydbrook Training Band.

Invite

With this partnership fully in place the school and the band invite former pupils who still play (or think they can!!) to join the band in the parade through the village prior to activities at the school.
