Radio: Time for Brass

Ian Cotter's Manx radio programme has plenty to offer brass band lovers.

Time for Brass on Manx Radio on Monday evening will be an hour's feature about Geoff Whitham this week, and will include contributions by James Scott, Les Beevers, John Kinley and Rodney Evans.

Le Roi d'Y's

The music will include reprises of the music played at Geoff's funeral as well as tracks recorded by Geoff himself and the iconic 1959 performance of 'Le Roi d'Ys'.

The programme can be heard on FM 89.0, 97.2 and 103.7, and AM 1368.

Listeners worldwide can access it by visiting www.manxradio.com and clicking on Listen Live at the time of the broadcast (Monday 27th July at 2100 UTC+1) or for one week afterwards by clicking on Listen Again.

September 14 • Due to retirement, Birchwood Community Brass Band requires the services of a new MD. We are a friendly Warrington based noncontesting band and training band of mixed ability looking for an MD to continue the musical development of both groups.
