Phoenix Brass (Crewkerne) enjoyed their recent appearance at the Exmouth Festival.

Phoenix Brass (Crewkerne) were delighted with their recent performance and success at the 10th SWBBA Exmouth Festival.

Best performance

Led by Paul Slator, Phoenix won the 2nd Section and the overall 'Best Performance of the Day' to take the Exmouth Challenge Trophy.

In addition, principal cornet Matt Read was declared 'Best Soloist' for his performance of 'Virtuosity'.

Tribute

Contest Secretary John Woods paid tribute to the hard work of the band: "All the hard work was worth it and we can now look forward to SWBBA Torquay and WBBA Weymouth contests with well founded confidence."
