The recently created STORM Brass will comete in the First Section at the West of England Regional Championships next year following a formal grading assessment.

Assessment

The assessment for the West of England Council was undertaken by David Loukes on parts of recent test pieces 'Pentacle' and 'New World Sketches'.

Also in attendance at the assessment were Council representative Viv Willcock and Trevor Beddings of the Cornwall Brass Band Association.

Rounded off

The band rounded off the evening by playing the hymn tune Colne with the final verse sung by the band in what is now becoming a traditional aspect of the Band's rehearsals.

The decision was made to grade the band in the First Section and their details have now been added to the list of registered bands for the West of England Regional Championships.
