A few BiC workshop places left

There are a few workshop places still left for the Brass in Concert weekend.

Sage

There are still a few places left to be grabbed for the forthcoming Brass & Percussion workshops at the Brass in Concert Championships this weekend.

Concert

The workshops and taster sessions led by members of the Black Dyke Band start at 9.00am on Saturday morning and run through to the final concert on the concourse of The Sage under the direction of Dr Nicholas Childs at 2.15pm.

We can squeeze a few more in for sure, but if people are interested then they need to get in contact pretty quickAlan Hope

Wonderful response

Alan Hope told 4BR: "We have had a wonderful response to the event, with over 60 ‘students’ making the trip to take part. We have people coming from all over the country too with some from Northern Ireland and as far afield as Aberdeen!"

Squeeze a few more

Alan revealed that they do have room for a few more people if they wish to come along, but they will have to get in contact with him as soon as possible.

"We can squeeze a few more in for sure, but if people are interested then they need to get in contact pretty quick. It only costs £5.00, and it will be a great experience for any player of any ability and any age."

Interested?

If you are interested then contact Alan at ahope.brass@tiscali.co.uk

If you are coming to The Sage on Saturday morning, the doors to the hall do not open until bang on 9.00am so be prepared to have a little wait if you arrive early.

Youth Brass 2000

And if you want to enjoy a further brass treat, then for an extra fiver you can go and listen to one of the very best entertainment bands around straight after the event, when Youth Brass 2000 under conductor Chris Jeans will be playing concert a in the main hall starting at 3.00pm.
