Fairey MD Phil Chalk has produced his first number 1 pop single — with a little help from the king of the Cheesecake, Peter Kay.

The Fairey Band MD Phil Chalk has notched up his first official number 1 pop chart hit — with a little help from comedian Peter Kay.

This years official Children in Need single, 'Peter Kay's Animated All Star Band' hit the top of the charts on Sunday, and the single was produced by Phil and his multi media team.

The single has beaten the over whelming favourite from Simon Cowell and his 'X Factor' musical sausage machine into second place4BR

170,000 copies

So far the Peter Kay's single has sold over 170,000 copies, and the DVD has sold more than 350,000, raising more than £1 million for Children in Need. The single is available from most High St. retailers and for download at Itunes and Amazon.
