STORM brewing for Torquay

STORM Brass has announced new signings and their MD for their debut at the West of England Regional Championships in Torquay.

STORM Brass continue to build for their debut challenge at this year's regional championships, with the addition of several new players and the announcement of the man at the helm for Torquay.

Signings

The band has signed Julie Chivers from Lympstone SWT on solo cornet, Nicola Bright from South Molton and Beverley Cole from Torbay Brass on the back row cornets, and Nick Judd of Unison Kinniel on EEb Bass.

Welsh baton

With regular MD Simon Dobson away at the Norwegian Championships, Welshman Andrew Jones has been working with the band and will take them at Torquay.

First opportunity

Ken Cassidy told 4BR: "Many are eagerly awaiting the chance to hear the results of the hard work that the band, Simon and Andrew have been putting into rehearsals. This will be the first opportunity for many in the banding world to hear the band in action."
