Leyland's schools training

Members of the Leyland Band recently enjoyed a bit of back to school training with Stockport Schools Band.

Following on from their recent training day with Macclesfield Youth Band, six players from Leyland Band visited Stockport Schools Brass Band.

Preparation

Nick Walkley, Andy Moore, Phillip Schwartz, Danny Brooks, Iain McKnight and Sarah Burn spent the day with the Senior and Intermediate ensembles taking sectional rehearsals in preparation for their forthcoming appearance at the National Youth Championships.

Enthusiasm

Iain McKnight told 4BR: "We really enjoyed the day’s work and were delighted by the talent and enthusiasm on display. The progress made during the day was testament to the hard work and dedication of the musicians. We are looking forward to hearing the finished article next month!"
