Elland Silver set for Bridgewater appearance

Elland's young stars to perform at Great Northern Spring Brass Arts Festival.

Elland Silver Youth Band conducted by Samantha Harrison will make a special appearance at the forthcoming Great Northern Spring Brass Arts Festival at The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester on Sunday 9th May.

The recently crowned Action Research Youth Champions will appear directly following the Leyland Band performance.

Best of youth

Festival Director Philip Biggs told 4BR: "Over the years the Great Northern Brass Arts Festivals have always featured the very best youth brass that this country has and the new Spring Festival will do exactly the same. I am certain that the Elland Youth Band and Samantha Harrison will delight the Manchester audience."

Samantha Harrison said that the band were delighted to be invited to the prestigious festival and were looking forward to the occasion.

All day concerts

The Leyland Band concert commences at 2.15pm and Elland Youth Band will follow Leyland on stage in the same concert at around 3.15pm.

Tickets for the daytime concerts which features Wingates, Leyland Band and Elland Youth Band and Brighouse & Rastrick Band, as well as the Gala Evening Concert which features the Foden’s Band and the Cory Band can be purchased by telephoning 0161 907 9000.
