Dobcross Youth has announced that they have created a new partnership with the Grimethorpe Colliery Band.

Close links

The bands already have close links, with a number of former Dobcross players now playing for Grimethorpe.

Gareth Beckwith and Nick Young started with Dobcross Youth and have now used the support they received to further their banding careers.

Grimethorpe have offered to support the band in the lead up to major concerts and contests, where their players will come and provide invaluable tuition and advice.

Dobcross Youth's 'Player of the Month' will be invited by Grimethorpe to attend one of their rehearsals.

Fantastic experience

This is a great opportunity for the band and we cannot thank Grimethorpe enough for their support. The band is very excited about what is to come in the future and is very much looking forward to the joint concerts that are to come."

Eager

Grimethorpe Band Manager Terry Webster adde: "We are eager to support Dobcross Youth, especially seeing the links that we already have with them."
