Marzella heads to the Far East

Baritone star set to perform in the Far East with Desford this week.

The Desford Band is flying to the Far East this week, where they will be playing at a number of high profile events with baritone star Katrina Marzella.

Singapore

The band, under the baton of Jason Katsikaris, fly to Singapore where they will be performing at several engagements, before moving on to Indonesia and then finally to the Philippines.

Delighted

Katrina told 4BR: "I'm delighted to be performing with Desford. The band has been in fine form this year and I’m also really looking forward to working with Jason again."

The band will be performing at ‘Brass Explosion’, a three day long brass expo in Singapore, as well as in the prestigious Victoria Concert Hall. The band will then be performing in Jakarta and finally in Mandaluyong City, Manila.

Band Manager, Pete Smith told 4BR: "We’re really pleased to be taking one of the world’s foremost brass players on tour with us this year. Katrina is a player of such rare quality and we will be featuring her whenever possible."

The band departs for the Far East this Thursday and will be returning on Sunday 6th June.

June 17 • Our COMMUNITY BAND meet again on Monday (22nd) and we welcome players of all standards to join us for a relaxed,friendly rehearsal with Tea and cake and it’s all free.. Rehearsals are at 11am in our own bandroom playing with us does not effect your band.
