4BR has been informed that after six successful years at the helm of Deepcar Band, Gavin Somerset has resigned from the position of Musical Director.

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "It is with regret that Gavin has resigned from the position of Musical Director after six successful years. He has taken the band from non-contesting to contesting within the Fourth Section, gaining commendable results especially in Entertainment contests."

They added: "We all wish Gavin the best for the future and thank him for all his hard work over the years."
