To add a little bit of interest to their recent annual presentation event, the members of the Pleasley Band and their supporters enjoyed a day on the train at the Midland Railway in Butterley.

Right track

During the trip they were served dinner and made their presentations whilst 'on the right track' so to speak, with the prizes for 'Player of the Year' going to Tracey Roker, 'Most Improved Player' to Karen Varley, 'Section of the Year' going to the horns and Alan Kemp receiving the 'Bandsman's Bandsman Award'

Floral gifts were presented to Margaret Allsopp and Anne Kemp for all their work behind the scenes and everyone enjoyed a great, and very different, day, despite the train breaking down twice!
