Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band has announced that following the recent departure of Carole Crompton, they have welcomed back Toni Howden after her maternity break.

Wealth of experience

Band Secretary Jason Barlow told 4BR: "Toni takes over the solo baritone seat to add a wealth of experience and quality sound."

Unfortunatley Toni's partner Lee Durrant, has decided to step down from the band after seven years loyal service on second baritone, as he takes up the babysitting duties.

First class

Jason added: "The band would like to go on record as saying a big thank you to Lee and we'll miss his humour as well as his commitment to being a first class bandsman."

Lee's replacement is Heather Law, who has helped the band out a few times over the past months.
