Advert: Geneva Instruments

Geneva congratulates Fairey brilliance.

Geneva

Geneva instrument has taken the opportunity to once more congratulate the Fairey (Geneva) Band on their remarkable run of 2010 contesting success, which was rounded off at the prestigious Brass in Concert Championships in Gateshead on the weekend.

Remarkable year

Managing Director Tim Oldroyd told 4BR: "The band’s runner up placing rounded off a quite remarkable year – and one which we are extremely proud to say we have been associated with as sponsors. To gain the English National title as well as come second at the three other major contests in the banding calendar is nothing short of incredible.

Everyone associated with Geneva is proud of their achievements and are already looking forward to 2011. There is no doubt that Geneva and Fairey’s is a winning combination!"

Money List

Tim was especially pleased that the band had also rounded off the year by being the leading contest prize money winner too. "To top the 4Barsrest Money League for 2010 is also a superb achievement. To win over £17,000 in prize money is surely a record and one that the band should be very proud of."

Congratulations

He concluded: "We offer our congratulations to Grimethorpe Colliery, who have many Geneva endorsees playing in their ranks and also to Fairey (Geneva) Band’s Matthew White for winning the best soloist award.

Geneva..........for players who know
