Crash, bang, wallop...

Shirley's MD Kevin Short may well be finding himself on 'You've Been Framed'...

Shirley

Prior to the performance of their final piece at the Shirley Band's recent Christmas Concert, MD Kevin Short suffered one of those ‘You've been Framed’ moments of almost catastrophic misfortunes that is destined to be replayed time and time again.

Gave way

Whilst Kevin was announcing the final piece, the front of the stage gave way, leading to him undergoing a five foot vertical drop – the result of which saw only his head showing at stage level to the bemused audience!

Grazed

Fortunately, little damage was sustained beyond a grazed shin and a cut finger, and despite the shock and technical difficulties of extracting the MD from the ‘pit’ he was able to continue with the remainder of the concert – much to the delight of the relieved audience!
