Strata Brass recently rounded off 2010 with their annual Christmas concert at Milton Hall near Barnsley in front of a packed house.

Service

During the fine night of musical entertainment, the 151 years service of five long term members was formally recognised.

Baritone player David Cauwood (22 years), Tuba player Terry Hardy and percussionist Robert Hardy (25 years each), cornetist Terry Milner (34 years) and secretary and cornet player Paul Wilkinson (45 years) received presentations.

Awards

Annual awards to the ‘Most Improved Player’ were won jointly by euphonium player David Shipman and baritone player Joanne Reasbeck, whilst the ‘Bandsman of the Year’ trophy was won by Terry Hardy.
